Abstract
ⶠThe degree of photoactivity does not affect toxic assays outcome. ⶠNanoparticles affect C. dubia food abundance, i.e. algal cell concentration. ⶠNanoparticles disrupt the energy of assimilation and consumption. ⶠNegative responses observed are partially due to energy disruption. ⶠEnergy budget should be considered in assessing nanotoxicity.
