Abstract
An electrochemical hydride generation system with polyaniline-modified lead cathode was developed for tin determination by coupling with atomic fluorescence spectrometry. The tin fluorescence signal intensity was improved evidently as the polyaniline membrane could facilitate the transformation process from atomic tin to the SnH4 and prevent the aggradation of Sn atom on Pb electrode surface. The effects of experimental parameters and interferences have been studied. The limit of detection (LOD) was 1.5 ng mLâ1 (3Ï) and the relative standard deviation (RSD) was 3.3% for 11 consecutive measurements of 50 ng mLâ1 Sn(IV) standard solution.
