Abstract
⺠RVFV infection of livestock leads to high virus loads and mortality. ⺠Contact with infected livestock blood, tissues and aborted fetal materials is a key risk factor for severe human RVF. ⺠Vaccination of livestock can directly reduce human exposure risk and mitigate the disastrous economic impacts of RVFV outbreaks.
