Abstract
⺠The Animal Rule is used when human vaccine efficacy studies are not feasible or ethical to conduct. ⺠Choice of animal species is a critical aspect of Animal Rule study design. ⺠For vaccines, animal data are bridged to humans using an appropriate immune marker.
