Abstract
⺠Nausea and vomiting are common side effects associated with GLP-1 receptor agonists. ⺠Administration of exendin-4 induces emesis and inhibits feeding in Suncus murinus. ⺠Exendin-4 may exert its effects via the hypothalamus and brainstem. ⺠Central GLP-1 receptors may represent an important physiological mediator of satiety and emesis.
