Abstract
► Detailed pharmacological mGlu receptor selectivity of DCPG in the hippocampus. ► DCPG is selective for mGlu8 receptors at lower concentrations (≤1 μM) in the LPP. ► Higher concentrations of DCPG activate mGlu2 receptors in the LPP and MPP. ► MDCPG selectively antagonises the mGlu8 receptor-mediated effects of DCPG.
