Abstract

âº Decreasing cortical GABA synthesis does not affect attention and may reduce motivation. âº Decreasing cortical GABA synthesis increases impulsive behavior and locomotor activity. âº Reduced cortical GABA synthesis may underlie some schizophrenia-like cognitive deficits.
