Abstract
⺠We investigated the role of 5-HT2A receptors in modulation of memory processes in mice. ⺠The agonist TCB-2 enhanced the consolidation of both fear memory and object memory. ⺠Fear memory extinction was facilitated by TCB-2 and impaired by the antagonist MDL 11,939. ⺠MDL 11,939 blocked the TCB-2-induced enhancement of object memory. ⺠The results provide new insight into the modulation of memory processes by 5-HT.
