Abstract
⺠The effects of stress on thyroid function depend on the kind and time of stress. ⺠We evaluated serum thyroid hormone in social defeated rats. ⺠Stress-like behavior followed hypothyroidism which occurred firstly during stress. ⺠This work suggests that hypothyroidism leads to behavioral changes observed in social defeated rats.
