Abstract
⺠MDMA produces a delayed, sustained increase in extracellular glutamate in the hippocampus. ⺠Treatment with fluoxetine or ketanserin attenuates MDMA-induced glutamate efflux. ⺠The increase in extracellular glutamate produced by MDMA is not diminished in the presence of TTX.
