Abstract
⺠Elevating adenosine levels in the accumbens reverses cocaine sensitization. ⺠A1 and A2A receptor stimulation in the accumbens reverses cocaine sensitization. ⺠Accumbens adenosine receptor stimulation does not affect acute cocaine sensitivity. ⺠A1-induced reversal of sensitization involves both A1 and A2A receptors. ⺠Accumbens A2A receptor stimulation reverses D2 receptor cross-sensitivity.
