Abstract
⺠Hyperforin is an antidepressant drug extracted from a plant. ⺠By performing in vitro and in vivo experiments we examine the consequences of a chronic hyperforin treatment. ⺠It changes the cellular zinc load and controls the expression of Zn-binding proteins. ⺠Hyperforin alters the thiol status of brain cells.
