Abstract
⺠Mesolimbic mGlu5 receptors play a role in nicotine reinforcement. ⺠Blockade of mGlu5 receptors in the NAcc attenuates nicotine intake. ⺠mGlu5 receptors in the VTA regulate both nicotine and food intake.
