Abstract
⺠Exposure to EE during periods of withdrawal reduces incubation of cocaine craving. ⺠Both early and late exposure to EE are effective in reducing cocaine seeking. ⺠The effects of EE only last as long as EE is maintained but then are quickly lost. ⺠EE acts as a brake on drug-seeking but it does not erase drug-related memories. ⺠Only continuous EE may be effective in reducing the risks of relapse.
