Abstract
⺠We proposed a new arrangement of P2X2 receptor gene with 12 exons and 11 introns. ⺠Retention of 11th intron in P2X2 receptor changes pharmacology and kinetics. ⺠Myenteric neurons have three P2X2 receptor variants being P2X2-1 the most common.
