Abstract
► Abnormal movements developed to a similar extent in wildtype and α6(−/−) mice. ► Abnormal movements declined in α6(−/−) mice with continued l-dopa treatment. ► α6β2* nAChRs play a critical role in the maintenance of l-dopa-induced dyskinesias. ► α6β2* nAChR drugs may be useful in the treatment of dyskinesias.
