Abstract
⺠The [3H]LY341495 binding was significantly increased by rearing in social isolation. ⺠The effect was specific for the prefrontal cortex and hippocampus. ⺠The Bmax value increased significantly without any changes in the Kd value. ⺠The mGluR2/3 antagonist showed an antidepressant effect in isolation-reared mice. ⺠The increased receptor function may contribute to the pathogenic mechanisms.
