Abstract
⺠We synthesized five unnatural nucleoside analogs. ⺠Two analogs can efficiently inhibit WNV methyltransferase (MTase) activity. ⺠The anti-WNV MTase compounds did not inhibit human mRNA MTase. ⺠The mechanism of selectivity is different from what was reported previously.
