Abstract
⺠HPMP nucleosides are analogs of deoxynucleoside monophosphates. ⺠The HPMP nucleosides inhibit a wide range of DNA viruses. ⺠The HPMP nucleosides have a complex mechanism of action against viral polymerases. ⺠The development of resistance to the HPMP nucleosides has been described.
