Abstract
⺠COPD is a chronic airway inflammatory disease with several systemic manifestations. ⺠Classes of drugs that are used for cardiovascular disease may be useful in COPD. ⺠There is a better understanding of mechanisms that may explain their effects in COPD. ⺠Some small clinical trial activity is beginning to generate promising results.
