Abstract
⺠Rhabdomyolysis is paralleled by elevated myoplasmic Ca2+ concentrations and reduced ATP. ⺠The development of an episode of rhabdomyolysis cannot be predicted from currently used laboratory parameters. ⺠In silico tools might help to elucidate novel strategies to prevent the rare event of rhabdomyolysis.
