Abstract
⺠Heart failure (HF) and coronary artery disease (CAD) share many risk factors. ⺠CAD often pre-dates the development of HF with reduced ejection fraction. ⺠Breathlessness, ankle oedema and fatigue, in a patient with a history of CAD, suggest HF. ⺠Effective therapies exist to treat HF and timely intervention can improve survival. ⺠The management of HF and CAD overlaps considerably but can sometimes be conflicting.
