Abstract
⺠Cholesterol is required for cell cycle progression and mitosis completion. ⺠Active cholesterol biosynthesis is mandatory for self-renewal. ⺠Inhibition of cholesterol biosynthesis is a signal for cell proliferation. ⺠Lipid metabolism regulators also play a role in cell proliferation. ⺠Mutated p53 forms activate cholesterol biosynthesis genes expression.
