Abstract
⺠Hypertension worsens prognosis and increases risk of complications in CABG patients. ⺠Anti-hypertensive drugs should be continued prior surgery only in stable patients. ⺠Excessive blood pressure variations during CABG should be avoided. ⺠Beta-blocker therapy should be started immediately after CABG. ⺠Early administration of ACE inhibitors does not appear to improve clinical outcome.
