Abstract
► Hypertension worsens prognosis and increases risk of complications in CABG patients. ► Anti-hypertensive drugs should be continued prior surgery only in stable patients. ► Excessive blood pressure variations during CABG should be avoided. ► Beta-blocker therapy should be started immediately after CABG. ► Early administration of ACE inhibitors does not appear to improve clinical outcome.
