Abstract
► Renal dysfunction after CABG is associated with higher morbidity and mortality. ► Very few interventions have been shown to mitigate renal dysfunction after CABG. ► Fenoldopam infusion and avoidance of recent contrast injection may be beneficial. ► Excessively low intraoperative haemaglobin may harm the kidneys. ► Adherence to basic principles of organ perfusion remain the best strategy.
