Introduction of Lycopodine to the prostate cancer cells induces a massive apoptosis in a quick span of time by down regulating OXERI and 5 LOX gene, which in-turn depolarize mitochondrial inner membrane. Cyto-c release and Bcl-2, Bax ratio change favored caspase activation and initiation of apoptosis.168
