Abstract
⺠Irsogladine maleate suppressed the onset of periodontal disease in a rat model. ⺠To profile of the effects of IM, DNA microarray analysis was used. ⺠IM suppressed the A. actinomycetemcomitans-induced increase in MMP-3, IL-6, and ICAM-1 in gingival epithelial cells. ⺠These data imply that IM is useful for the prevention of periodontal disease.
