Abstract
⺠We investigated the effects of SA981 on CD40-mediated antibody production. ⺠SA981, a metabolite of bucillamine, attenuated the IgM production. ⺠SA981 attenuated CD40-mediated Akt phosphorylation. ⺠Commercially available Akt inhibitor attenuated CD40-mediated IgM production. ⺠SA981 inhibits the IgM production, in part, by attenuation of Akt phosphorylation.
