Abstract
► We inhibited OGD-mediated microglial cell activation with baicalin. ► Baicalin inhibited OGD-mediated increases in cell viability and cytokine levels. ► Baicalin also attenuated the increase in the OGD-induced TLR4 mRNA. ► OGD-induced transfer of MyD88 from cytoplasm to membrane was attenuated. ► Baicalin may be developed for prevention of microglial damage in ischemic diseases.
