Abstract
⺠Psoriasis is a skin disorder in which T lymphocytes and dendritic cells (DCs) play a central role. ⺠We present a concept focusing on the role of interferon (IFN)-α in priming DCs in psoriasis. ⺠IFN-α-primed DCs might contribute to T-helper (Th)1 and Th17 lymphocyte differentiation. ⺠Th1 and Th17 lymphocytes can instruct monocytes to differentiate into Th1- and Th17-promoting DCs. ⺠Our review helps us to further explore the complex pathogenesis of psoriasis.
