Abstract
Our results demonstrate icodextrin to have no adverse effects on wound healing processes of peritoneal mesothelial cells. Preservation of integrin-mediated cell adhesion might be one of the molecular mechanisms accounting for the superior biocompatibility of icodextrin-containing PDF.
