Abstract
Finally, the effect of lowering pH on the degradation of formates was evaluated after complete cyanides destruction was reached (10Â min of reaction). Under the optimum conditions (pH 5.2, [H2O2]Â =Â 40Â g/l; [TiO2]Â =Â 2Â g/l), 100% of cyanides and 92% of initial NH3 concentration are degraded after 10Â min, whereas 35Â min are needed to degrade 98% of formates.
