Abstract
⺠Synaptic form and function are altered by chronic stress and in depression. ⺠Changes to plasticity are correlated by those to signal transduction pathways. ⺠Altered synaptic plasticity may correlate neurometabolic deficits. ⺠Altered synaptic plasticity may underlie altered cognition and emotion.
