Abstract
⺠UCM765 shows mild anxiolytic properties similar to those of melatonin; ⺠The anxiolytic properties of melatonin and UCM765 are mediated by the MT2 receptor; ⺠Unlike diazepam, the anxiolytic dose of UCM765 and MLT does not lead to sedation; ⺠Pharmacological antagonism of MT1/MT2 or MT2 receptors induces no effects on anxiety.
