Abstract
⺠GSHt and GSHr levels were lower in both schizophrenic and bipolar I patients. ⺠Altered antioxidant enzymes were found in schizophrenia and bipolar I disorder. ⺠Oxidative stress could be involved in the physiopathology of these disorders. ⺠Glutathione could be an indirect biomarker of oxidative stress in these disorders.
