Abstract
⺠Genetic variants can be shared among bipolar affective disorder (BPAD), major depressive disorder (MDD) and schizophrenia (SCZ). ⺠Five SNPs of ErbB4 were selected based on previous positive reports and LD information of the HapMap CHB + JPT population. ⺠These SNPs were genotyped in 1140 BPAD, 1140 SCZ, 1139 MDD patients and 1140 normal controls among Han Chinese population. ⺠Two SNPs (rs707284 and rs839523) showed significance in the BPAD patients but this was eliminated after permutation.
