Abstract
⺠Allergic asthma correlated with exposure to certain inhaled particulate chromates. ⺠Direct causal association between Cr(VI) and allergic asthma not established. ⺠Cr exacerbated pathology and airway hyperresponsiveness in an OVA-challenged mouse. ⺠Particulate Cr(VI) may augment severity and alter phenotype of ongoing allergic asthma.
