Abstract
⺠Human immortal (HaCaT) and primary (NFK) keratinocytes were exposed to PCB153. ⺠PCB153 significantly reduced telomerase activity and telomere length in HaCaT. ⺠No effect on telomere length and telomerase activity was found in NFK. ⺠Increased intracellular superoxide levels and reduced cell growth was seen in both. ⺠PCB153 may damage telomerase expressing cells like stem cells.
