Abstract
⺠We investigated how juglone acts on liver metabolism. ⺠The actions on hepatic gluconeogenesis, glycolysis and ureogenesis. ⺠Juglone stimulates glycolysis and ureagenesis and inhibits gluconeogenesis. ⺠The cellular ATP content is diminished. ⺠Juglone can be consired a toxic compound for the cell economy.
