Abstract
⺠Glycyrrhizin markedly increase in both CYP3A4 mRNA and protein levels. ⺠The transcriptional activation of CYP3A4 through glycyrrhizin is PXR-dependent. ⺠Glycyrrhizin activates the DNA-binding capacity of the PXR. ⺠Glycyrrhizin can protect the liver tissue from the LCA-induced hepatotoxicity.
