Abstract
► We evaluated the kinetic interactions of a series of bispyridinium oximes with phosphylated human AChE. ► The position of the oxime group(s) is decisive for the reactivating potency. ► Different positions of oxime group(s) are important for different organophosphates. ► The nature of the linker, oxybismethylene or trimethylene, is obviously of minor importance. ► No single oxime was effective against structurally different organophosphorus inhibitors.
