Abstract
⺠Soman-induced refractory status epilepticus is a challenging clinical condition. ⺠We review current data on the effectiveness of ketamine combinations with atropine. ⺠They show remarkable neuroprotective ability both in guinea-pigs and mice. ⺠They also counteract soman-induced changes in neuroinflammation and brain metabolism. ⺠They do not negatively impact thermoregulation, respiration or intracranial pressure.
