Abstract
⺠Using adenovirus, high-level expression of human liver prolidase was accomplished. ⺠High-level expression of the enzyme lasted up to 15 days in mice. ⺠Mouse liver contained the highest levels of human liver prolidase. ⺠Human liver prolidase hydrolyzed diisopropylfluorophosphate in vitro. ⺠In vivo, overexpression of the enzyme offered modest protection against DFP.
