Abstract
► PRiMA mRNA level is 17-fold lower in dystrophic Lama2dy mouse muscle than in control. ► The lack of PRiMA causes the drop in ChE tetramers seen in dystrophic muscle. ► PRiMA mRNA level is 2.5-fold lower in dystrophic sciatic nerves than in controls. ► AChE-T mRNA content decreases and that of BuChE mRNA increases in dystrophic nerves. ► The lack of PRiMA explains the lower amount of BuChE tetramers in dystrophic nerves.
