Abstract
⺠Testing substances are administered intrastriatally to Wistar rats. ⺠Examined vulnerable brain regions: striatum, hippocampus and cortex. ⺠parameters of oxidative status and behavior of the animals were measured/monitored. ⺠Paraquat (PQ) administration triggered oxidative stress and excitotoxicity. ⺠Pre-treatment with glutathione reductase prevented/reduced PQ induced neurotoxicity.
