Abstract
⺠We investigated how tamoxifen acts on liver metabolism. ⺠The action of tamoxifen on hepatic gluconeogenesis and glycolysis was measured. ⺠Tamoxifen stimulates glycolysis and inhibits gluconeogenesis. ⺠The mechanism of the action of tamoxifen is complex. ⺠Glucose homeostasis in the presence of tamoxifen requires regulatory adaptations.
