Abstract
► We examined the chemopreventive effect of PFMet on 7,12-dimethylbenz(a)anthracene induced oral cancer. ► PFMet supplementation significantly restored the levels of TBARS and antioxidants status in pouch and plasma of tumor groups. ► The high dose of PFMet was more potent in inhibiting the oral cancer than the low dose and the medium dose. ► Our results signify that amla is a potential chemopreventive agent against oral carcinogenesis.
