Molecular cloning, sequencing, and expression analysis of cDNA encoding metalloprotein II (MP II) induced by single and combined metals (Cu(II), Cd(II)) in polychaeta Perinereis aibuhitensis

► The first study on the complete cDNA of metalloprotein II (MP II) in P. aibuhitensis is 904 bp coding 119 amino acids. ► The deduced protein sequence shared high homology with sequences of other species. ► Metals (Cu(II), Cd(II)) exposure significantly increased the expression levels of MPIImRNA in P.aibuhitensis.
