Abstract
⺠The effects of (ClPhSe)2 on the toxicity induced by HgCl2 were investigated. ⺠The results of (ClPhSe)2 were compared with (PhSe)2. ⺠(ClPhSe)2 presented better toxicological results in comparison to (PhSe)2. ⺠The introduction of chloro in the aromatic ring of (PhSe)2 reduced its toxicity.
