Abstract
⺠AKR1C3 and AKR7A2 protect 1321N1 cells against carbonyl and oxidant toxicity. ⺠AKR1C, AKR7A2 and ALDH2 enzymes are inducible by H2O2 and 4-hydroxynonenal. ⺠AKR1C and AKR7A2 are inducible by 7-hydroxycoumarin. ⺠7-Hydroxycoumarin treatment protects against hydrogen peroxide and 4-hydroxynenal toxicity.
